Role: Senior Platform AdministratorLocation: Springfield, IL (3 days/week onsite for 3 weeks; then 3 days/month)Salary: $85,000/yearWork Authorization : USCOverview:The Senior Platform Administrator will lead the management and modernization of the organization s IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud platforms, and associated applications. The role is part of the DCFS Server Modernization Project, which focuses on migrating legacy systems to modern Microsoft Servers.Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain platforms (OS, servers, databases, cloud).
• Monitor performance, optimize systems, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security measures, conduct audits, and respond to incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting, automation efforts (PowerShell, Python), and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with regulations.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-7 years of IT administration, 3+ years in a senior role.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), virtualization, Windows/Linux, and scripting.
