TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Decatur, Illinois, 62526 Pay Information $2,290 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) Guaranteed Hours: Unspecified Experience: Minimum 1 year required (First-timers not accepted) License: Active IL license required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required Must-Have: - Med/Surg Experience - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills - Telemetry- Remote Monitoring - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Colostomy Care and Feeding Tube Management - Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw - Experience with Surgical Drains - Respiratory Case Skills Job Description: - Manage patients with neurological/psychiatric cases such as CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Traumatic Brain Injury. - Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy including starting IVs, and managing PICC lines. - Provide respiratory support including management of CPAP/BiPAP, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, and tracheostomy management. - Administer medications like Heparin, Insulin, and PCA. - Implement isolation precautions, wound care, and use of Wound Vacs. - Conduct patient care tasks related to pre/post-thoracic surgery and continuous bladder irrigation. - Familiarity with Cerner charting system preferred. - Engage in floating duties within the hospital as required. - Participate in rotating weekend shifts every other weekend. - Work collaboratively with healthcare team members in a Level II Trauma Center environment. Note: Flu Vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions accepted. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
